Family
Brahm was born from Russian roots in Cote St. Luc, Montreal, Canada, and grew up in a Conservative household. His father was in the underground in Russia during World War II while his mother ran the Yiddishkeit group “Mama Loshen” in Montreal. Braham has four siblings and one of his brothers was a paratrooper in the Israeli Army during the Yom Kippur War. In 2012, Braham earned his United States citizenship.

Brahm met his wife-to-be Wendy while he was at McGill University. Wendy and Brahm had their wedding in the Shakespeare Garden on the Northwestern campus. Wendy works as the Youth Services Coordinator at the Burton Barr main branch in downtown Phoenix.
The two share two all-grown sons Max and Jack who became a bar mitzvah through Temple Emanuel in the East Valley. Jack stayed Jewish and was involved in TETY while Max was an active member of the Arizona Jewish Theatre Company’s youth program.

Braham attended McGill University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in English and History in 1983. During his time, he worked as Editor of McGill Daily, Scarlet Key. He later enrolled at Northwestern University where he graduated with a master’s degree in Journalism.

Braham is an anchor and reporter for 12 News who also moderates the political talk show “12News Sunday Square Off”. He first joined the station in 2005 and since 2009, he has been a Sunday Square Off moderator.
