Alyssa Pejic is an American journalist and meteorologist. Currently, she serves as a First Alert Meteorologist at Action News Jax. Alyssa joined the Weather team in January 2020 and anchors the Saturday and Sunday evening newscasts on CBS47 and FOX30. Alyssa is excited to be in Jacksonville covering the weather in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. She loves to be in the community, showing support at public events, and at schools discussing the weather.
She commenced her on-air career in 2018 at WNCT Channel 9, the CBS affiliate in Greenville, NC. There, Alyssa served as a weekend morning meteorologist and reporter. She is thrilled to call Florida home again. As a meteorologist, Alyssa has covered basically every weather system including Hurricane Florence, Dorian, and Michael. On the weekdays, she is a community and science reporter. She loves having the opportunity to tell people’s stories, educate on science issues that affect daily lives, and interact with the community.
