Anaridis Rodriguez is an American journalist currently working at PBS in Rhode Island. She joined the network in January 2024 along with Ted Nesi. Currently, Anaridis serves as the host of Generation Rising. Furthermore, she is an award-winning bilingual journalist with skills in multi-media production. Previously, Anaridis worked for WBZ-TV, the CBS-owned-and-operated in Boston, as an anchor and reporter.

Personal Life

Anaridis is 35 years old, born in the Dominican Republic in 1989. She is 5 ft 6 in tall (approx. 1.68 m ) and was born Anaridis Rodriguez-Starnino. Anaridis spent her early life in the Dominican Republic until she was 12 when she immigrated to the USA with her family. She is the daughter of Ana and Juan Rodriguez who served as a civil engineer in the Dominican Republic. Her father now works in Providence as a Roger Williams Middle School math teacher.

She was brought up alongside her sister Ana P. The immigration from her home country Dominican Republic to Rhode Island, USA, was a bit difficult for Anaridis. She attended Classical High School where she obtained her diploma and later enrolled at Rhode Island College. At Rhode Island College, Anaridis studied Spanish and Communication graduating with a bachelor’s degree. She later furthered her studies at Emerson College earning a master’s degree in Journalism.

Husband

She is married to her husband Jesse J. Starnino. Anaridis and Jesse exchanged wedding vows at St. Mark’s Church in Warwick on October 6, 2012. The wedding ceremony was officiated by Rev. M.P. Schneider. The lovebirds went for their honeymoon in Jamaica.

Anaridis’ husband attended Wentworth Institute of Technology where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management. Currently, he works in Everett, Massachusetts as the Bond brothers’ assistant project manager. On May 6, 2016, Anaridis became a first-time mom by welcoming her baby boy, Andreas Starnino on Mother’s Day. She later welcomed her second child, a son Sebastian Alberto in January 2020.
