Paul has been fascinated with the weather since he was a kid and studied it ever since. He joined KPIX in March 2020. Previously, Paul served for stations in Raleigh, NC, Tulsa, OK, Nashville, TN, Huntington, WV, Beaumont, TX, and Duluth, MN.
Vern Glenn is an American journalist and sports anchor. Currently, he serves as the weekend sports anchor and reporter at KPIX 5 and KBCWtv 44 Cable 12 in San Francisco. Vern joined KPIX 5/KBCWTV 44 Cable 12 in June of 2012 serving as weekend Sports Anchor and weekday sports reporter & MMJ.
Darren Peck is an American journalist and meteorologist. Currently, he works as a meteorologist at KPIX 5 in San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to San Francisco Bay Area, Darren served as weather forecast at KING 5 in Seattle. He is no stranger to forecasting Northern California weather as he was born and grew up there.
Betty Yu is an Asian-American journalist and reporter. Currently, she works as a general assignment reporter at KPIX 5 in San Francisco Bay Area since November 2013. Betty served for two years as a reporter at WTVJ, the NBC-owned station in Miami before moving to San Francisco.
Maria Medina is a Filipino-American journalist and newscaster. Currently, she reports and anchors the KPIX 5 Weekend Early Edition in San Francisco Bay Area. On Sunday mornings, Maria joins Phil Matier in getting in-depth interviews with the Bay Area’s state and congressional representatives. She started delivering the news when she was 15. maria’s first job was delivering newspapers in her neighborhood.
Emily Turner is an American journalist and reporter. Currently, she serves as a reporter at KPIX 5 news in San Francisco Bay Area. Emily joined KPIX 5 news team in 2018 but isn’t new to the Bay Area. previously, she served as a reporter at KRON 4 before moving over to the CBS Family. She commenced her news career after graduating from the University of Florida in Mobile, Ala.
Kenny Choi is an Asian-American journalist and anchor. Currently, he co-anchors weekday mornings from 4:30-7 am and Noon at KPIX 5 in San Francisco since April 2016. Kenny came to KPIX 5 in April 2016 as morning and noon co-anchor. He tries to sleep by 8 pm so that he can be at the station by 3:30 am to prepare for the 4:30 am newscast.
Susie Steimle is an American journalist and reporter. She serves as a Project Home original series reporter at KPIX CBS5 in San Francisco Bay Area. Susie joined the station in September 2016. She is aware of the housing affordability crisis is personal to everyone in the Bay Area and she’s eager to hear people’s stories.
Katie Nielsen is an American journalist and reporter. Currently, she serves as a reporter at KPIX in San Francisco, where she joined in the summer of 2017. Katie has spent more than a decade sharing people’s stories. A few months after joining the station, she found herself covering the Wine Country Wildfires.
