Dan Roche is an Emmy award-winning sportscaster. He serves as a sports anchor and reporter for both WBZ-TV and WSBK-TV in Boston, Massachusetts. Dan has worked at WSBK-TV and WBZ-TV for over two decades. He began his career in Lawrence, Massasechets where he reported for WCCM/WCGY radio.
In September 1999, Dan served as a radio sports anchor and Boston Bruins game host for WBZ Newsradio 1030AM. Moreover, he also won a New England Emmy Award for an Outstanding Sports Series the “Red Sox” that aired on myTV38 and WBZ-TV. Furthermore, Dan has also worked for WHDH, WCCM, WRKO, and WCGY. In the early 1980s, he worked on a Worcester bowling show as a color commentator alongside Bob Fouracre.
Dan has covered many of Boston’s historical moments. His memorable events include the Pats’ perfect 16-0 regular-season finale in New York against the Giants in 2007, the 1996 Patriots Super Bowl, and the ’04 and ’07 Red Sox World Series Championships. During the latter, he was allowed to ride with the team in the ’04 Duck Boat Victory Parade. In addition, Dan covered the Celtic 17th World Championship through Los Angeles, Cleveland, Detroit, and Atlanta.

Dan is 59 years old, born in Methuen, Massachusetts, USA, in 1965. He is 5 ft 11 in tall ( Approximately 1.8 m ). Dan studied at North Andover High School graduating with his diploma. He later joined Nasson College which was later shut down in 1983. As a result, Dan transferred to Syracuse University joining the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications program.
During his time at Syracuse, he studied and graduated in 1987 with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. As a freshman in college, Dan joined WAER-FM where he was mentored by Sean McDonough who was then a senior at Syracuse University.
