Ushery is an intrinsic member of the NBC 4 New York anchoring team. Ushery has covered most breaking news stories across the Tri-State region and around the world as a whole. The most notable breaking news was the terror attack in Paris France, Manchester, England, and Orlando Florida.

David has worked for 17 years at WNBC. Ushery succeeded Stefan Holt at 4 and 11 p.m. after Holt moved to sibling WMAQ Chicago. He launched The Debrief with David Ushery program in 2009 which was marked as a must-watch program and later nominated in 2011 Emmy Award.
