At the age of 5 years, Jennifer suffered a heart disease. She was diagnosed with Supraventricular tachycardia (SVT). This is a condition that makes the heart to beat dangerously fast. Following the diagnosis, Jennifer has undergone two surgeries to help manage and live with the condition. For this reason, Jennifer is passionate about the fight against heart disease and works closely with the Central Ohio Chapter of the American Heart Association.
Furthermore, her mother Kathy is also a survivor of a heart attack that was caused by Atrial fibrillation (A-fib). This is an irregular and often very heart rhythm that can lead to blood clots in the heart. It also makes someone susceptible to heart failure, stroke, and other heart-related complications.
