Sade Baderinwa (Full name: Folasade Olayinka Baderinwa) is an American broadcast journalist. She has been a news anchor at WABC-TV, the ABC station in New York since 2003. Currently, Baderinwa co-anchors the weekday 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts of Eyewitness News with Bill Ritter. She joined the Eyewitness News team in 2003 and served as a reporter and anchor of Eyewitness News at Noon. Baderinwa came to Channel 7 from Baltimore’s WBAL-TV, where she covered the morning and noon newscasts. Additionally, she hosted a weekly community affairs show.
Baderinwa is a huge believer in giving back to her community. She has served with numerous Tri-State area organizations, community leaders, and students. After being struck by a hit and run driver while covering a story for Eyewitness News, Baderinwa championed efforts to deal with the growing problem of the accidents.
