Diane Ako is an American journalist, anchor, and reporter. Currently, she serves as the weekend evening anchor, weekday reporter, fill-in assignment editor, and host of the weekly Aging Well segment at KITV based in Honolulu, Hawaii. Previously, Diane worked at KHON as a morning anchor. Prior to that, she served as an anchor and reporter at KHNL, KOB in New Mexico, WBRE in Pennsylvania, and CTV in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Diane’s reporting has earned her ten first-place awards from the Society of Professional Journalists Hawaii Chapter. She has also received four Emmy nominations from the San Francisco/Northern California Chapter of The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
