Nicole Tam is an American journalist and reporter. Currently, she serves as a reporter at KITV4 Island News in Hawaii. Previously, Nicole was a Co-Director at the Asian American Journalists Association. She first found her inspiration for journalism after watching a weather report when she was in third grade.
Nicole says the fun part of being a journalist is being nosy and getting away with it and being able to learn about someone within half an hour. Normally, people can’t just start asking people personal questions and not look creepy. But as a journalist, she can. Aside from meeting new people every day, for Nicole, it’s also rewarding to know she is a source people can rely on for information and things that are happening in the community. When not at work, Nicole is looking for a new place to eat.
