John Snell is an American journalist at FOX 8 in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. He is currently working as News Anchor for WVUE-TV in Greater New Orleans Area. Snell has covered major stories including the 1984 World’s Fair to the collapse of the oil industry, the Edwin Edwards trials, hurricanes as well as their aftermath. He won two national honors in 2012, an Edward R. Murrow Award from the Radio-Television Digital News Directors Association and a distinguished Sigma Delta Chi Award from the Society of Professional Journalists.
Prior to joining WVUE in 1994, Snell was working for WWl Channel 4. During his free time, Snell enjoys Bicycle riding and doing photography.
