Unfortunately, his father passed on in January 2003 at the age of 85 years while his mother died in May 2015 at the age of 94 years.
He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1974. While at the university, Ginsberg was involved in the school’s newspaper, The Daily Pennsylvanian, where he worked as a reporter, contributing editor, and editor-in-chief.
After college, Ginsberg spent five years working as a newspaper reporter for The Boston Globe, and Philadelphia Bulletin among others. Later, he earned his J.D. degree from Georgetown University in 1982. While in law school, Ginsberg served in the Capitol Hill office of Representative George E. Brown, Jr. (D-CA).
