Dave Scott is an American Jazz trombonist and retired weatherman. Previously, he was working as a meteorologist and feature reporter at KUSI-TV in San Diego, California until March 2022. Scott joined the station in 1992 and on August 3, 2020, he celebrated his 28 years at KUSI. He briefly spoke about the 28-year milestone and how he loves bringing the weather to the San Diego community.
He was a host for the Jerry Lewis MDA & Helen Woodward telethons. Additionally, Scott hosted and created animal series “More of the Wild”, featuring San Diego Zoo Goodwill Ambassador Joan Embery. It is now called “Wonders of the Wild”, a program for children. Scott’s music has been heard frequently on KUSI’s Good Morning, San Diego. Originally, he studied to be a jazz musician. But for economic reasons he eventually found himself as a meteorologist.”
