Greg Perez is an American on-air meteorologist at FOX31 KDVR / Channel 2 KWGN. He joined FOX 31 in September 2023. From August 2022 to September 2023 he served as a meteorologist at KUSA-TV, 9NEWS in Denver, Colorado. Prior to that, he worked as a meteorologist at WPMT-FOX 43 from December 2020 to August 2022.
After joining the station Greg was thrilled to be actively covering weather in Central Pennsylvania. He became interested in meteorology during Elementary School, where he was able to cover local weather over the loudspeaker. Before joining WPMT-FOX 43 in December 2020, Greg was serving as a Weekend Meteorologist at KHQ-TV, a station in the Pacific Northwest, Spokane. There, he worked for six months from July 2020 to December 2020. During his free time, Greg can be found rooting for his Virginia Tech Hokies, playing some golf, or spending time outdoors.

Greg was born and raised in a small town called Park Ridge in northeastern New Jersey by his father and mother Mr. & Mrs. Perez. He was raised along with his sisters Julia, Kerry, and Claire.
He attended Virginia Tech and graduated in the Spring of 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology and a minor in Geography. While at Virginia Tech, Greg interned with WSLS Storm Team 10 in Roanoke for one semester. Additionally, he also interned with WNBC Storm Team 4 in New York City from June 2017 to August 2017 and another summer from June 2018 to August 2018.

He worked for 9news as a morning and Midday meteorologist from August 2022 to September 2023. Before joining 9news, Greg was working for FOX43 as a weekday meteorologist in Harrisburg, PA. While working there, he won a Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters award for his coverage of Hurricane Ida.
Prior to joining FOX43, he was working in Spokane, Washington as a meteorologist for KHQ-Tv. Previously, he was working for KFBB as a chief meteorologist in Great Falls, Montana from June 2019 to July 2020. While working there, Greg had the incredible experience of reporting on minus sixty below wind chills and summer thunderstorms.
He also interned for WNBC in New York City in two different stints June 2017 to August 2017 and June 2018 to August 2018 respectively. His fascination with meteorology began when he was in Elementary School where he was able to cover the local weather over the Loudspeaker.
