Kylen’s favorite memories at Lexington include traveling with the Cats basketball team during their 2019 NCAA tournament run. She also received a Kentucky AP Broadcasters Award and a nomination for a regional Emmy for Sports Feature Story. Before Lexington, Kylen served on-air in Oklahoma City and the Quad Cities which is based on the Iowa and Illinois state line. She is thrilled to cover the Bay Area teams and their passionate fans.

In college, Kylen served as a producer and anchor for the school’s TV station. She also called basketball and volleyball games for the radio station. Kylen also hosted a radio show, taking part in various community service projects, and wrote for the school newspaper. While still in college, Kylen interned at ABC 7 News (WLS-TV) in Chicago in January 2011. She later served behind the scenes through a student-program at MTV Digital in New York City and at WGN-TV in Chicago.

She came to LEX 18 from Oklahoma City where she served as a reporter and fill-in anchor for two years. Kylen’s biggest accomplishment in Oklahoma was earning a 2016 NextGen 30 under 30 Award for leadership and community service.
