After working for two years Robert left and joined KITV in 1989 where he served as the weekend sports anchor and reporter. There, he worked for five years and left to work at KNHL-TV. Robert then returned to KITV as a sports director in 1997. In 2011, he was named the TV play-by-play voice of the Warriors.
