She then moved to a reporter position at the NBC affiliate in Vermont. She thought it was a good job because she enjoyed talking and asking lots of questions. In September 1999, Kate moved to New Hampshire to work at WBAL-TV’s sister-station, WMUR-TV. There, she served as a general assignment reporter. She then moved up to anchoring full-time.
