Mindy Basara Illness
While pregnant with her daughter in 2005, Mindy suffered a May-Thurner Syndrome, or DVT, which is a potentially life-threatening blood clot, in her left leg. It is a condition where the right iliac artery, crosses over the left iliac vein too closely, compressing the vein and stifling blood flow to the left leg. Mindy underwent surgery to fix and she is now fine and healthy.
