Brooks is also a member of the NBC5 Investigates team of investigative reporters. She joined the station in 1998 from WGST in Atlanta, Ga where she was working as a reporter.
Brooks’ passion is storytelling and reporting and her investigative work has been drawn to social and criminal justice issues. She has received several awards such as national recognition from the Alliance for Women in Media (Gracie) for her series of reports on Sex Trafficking in Chicago in 2014.
